Getting to school on time.
The back to school season is dreaded by moms around the country because of the chaos that ensues in their homes.
The relaxing flow of summer is replaced by schedules and the morning rush. After school, moms are pressured to fix dinner, shuttle kids to after school activities & then prepare children for bedtime.
As the kids settle into a routine, mom is often on a constant wave of chaos, rushing around trying to get it all done, with little time for herself. Here are 5 ways that moms can relax amist the craziness of the back to school season:
Prepare The Night Before
Instead of waiting until the morning to pick out outfits and pack lunches, prep everything the night before. Including your own outfit. I’ve been guilty of setting everything aside for my children, then scrambling to find something that fits (and doesn’t need ironing) the morning of. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve gone to work with one earring on or I’ve forgotten my own lunch.
Prepping the night before gives you time to pace yourself without feeling so rushed.
Take A Bath At Night
When the kids are in bed, take a long warm bath. Soak the stresses of the day in the tub. After all, you earned it! Put a few drops of Gurunanda’s essential oils in your bath to make it even more relaxing. You can also mix them with a carrier oil (such as sweet almond) and massage into your skin.
Reconnect With Your Spouse
Instead of waiting on date night, take some time to talk about your day with your spouse. Share the highs and lows of the day.

Even if you can only fit in a chapter or two at bedtime, you will feel more relaxed when you can do something you enjoy.
Get a good night’s rest! I need to take my own advice. Often when the kids are in bed, I use that time to stay up late, play on social media, or try to do some things around the house that are easier when I’m not interrupted constantly.
