I have been watching VeggieTales since I was a little girl. Seriously, my church had a video library and I used to borrow them and watch them on VHS. Yup, that’s how long they’ve been out! So when I was recently given the opportunity to review for them, I was so excited.
VeggieTales “The House That Stood” the parable of the wise and foolish builders is a lesson in making good choices. It brings comedy to an old story of The Three Little Pigs when they come into Cabbageville and meet Mr. Lunt, Larry & Bob, but only Bob follows the Master Builder’s Handbook. Teaching kids that if they follow God’s plans they can always face the storm is a must learned lesson for all our children.
It runs for approximately 40 mins. The DVD also contains a retelling of Humpty Dumpty. Includes a brand new song “happy tooth day”. And also has more than 10 bonus features.
My baby girl is still to little to watch movies, but I occasionally baby sit and just know this is going to be a big hit. Like all VeggieTales movies the colorfulness of the movie along with funny characters immediately draws kids both big and small in for excitement. As a parent now, I thoroughly love the real life lessons and biblical teachings that my little one is going to get from this cartoon that she won’t see in mainstream media outlets.
This collection of VeggieTales spin on classic Mother Goose tales is just divine
