BABY Month! InGenuity Automatic Bouncer Review and Giveaway

I saw the InGenuity Automatic Bouncer in the Pembrook Fashion while shopping at Target a few months before baby Jacob’s birth. I immediately fell in love with it this bouncer and was so excited when InGenuity offered to send it to me for review.

Here are the description and features of this bouncer:

The InGenuity™ Automatic Bouncer™ gives your baby a delightfully natural bounce, with just the sort of motion you use. The seat is plush and padded with cradling support to keep your baby super comfortable.

A toy bar complete with plush toy pivots out of the way for easy ins and outs—plus soothing built-in nature sounds/music player keeps baby content. Enjoy money savings courtesy of Hybridrive,™ which stretches battery life to money-saving lengths.

  • 30 minutes of automatic bouncing that mimics mom’s natural motion
  • Seat features cradling side supports and removable headrest
  • 10 melodies and nature sounds
  • Removable, pivoting toy arm with plush toy
  • Batteries last twice as long as traditional bouncers
What I Thought:

Let  me tell you what appealed to me first. I was able to see a floor model of this bouncer at Target and the fabric was so, SO soft! Not only is it super soft, I also loved the colors, patterns, and cute little turtles! This seat looked so comfy, I myself wanted to climb up into it and have a little nap!

Now that the bouncer is at my house, I’ve discovered another thing I love about it–it is raised off of the ground much higher than normal bouncers. I love that when I put Jacob into it (or take him out) I don’t have to bend as far down. The toy bar along the top of it is so easy to push out of the way when you are putting your baby into or taking him/her out of the bouncer. This bouncer is also not slanted as strongly as other bouncers,so newborns are cradled. The minimal amount of slant also makes it great for babies to sleep in as well.

Jacob uses this bouncer a few times a day. In fact, if he’s awake and I’m not holding him, he’s usually in this bouncer! For the first couple of days he used it, I hadn’t installed the batteries into the bouncer. After installing the batteries, we’ve used the bouncer feature a few times, but honestly he enjoys sitting in it and looked at the world around him with or without the bounce function. The bouncer feature is not meant for older babies who are moving around a lot as that can override the automatic bounce feature. Besides the bouncing feature, it also has a nature sounds or music option for your child.

His very first time in the bouncer he managed to poop in it–yeah, I’m not kidding! I’m happy to tell you that it washed and dried easily in my washer/dryer and looked good as new! It is also really quick and easy to take the cover off/on.

Having worked in daycare and as a nanny for a few years before Maggie was born, I have used a lot of different baby equipment over the years. This has been my favorite bouncer to use with a newborn by far. I am really impressed with it and so happy to have it in our house. I have already given away the bouncer I used for Maggie because I like this one so much more!

The InGenuity Automatic Bouncers are available at many of your favorite retailers including Target, BabiesRUs, and This bouncer, as I said, is the Pembrook fashion, but there are a number of different fashions to choose from. They are all REALLY cute too!
