It’s really sad, but bullying seems to be growing these days. Just a few weeks ago, there was a junior high student in our community that committed suicide because he was being bullied. This breaks my heart! Children need to be taught that they should be nice to all children, no matter where they come from, the language they speak, the clothes they wear, etc. I will be teaching Maggie early on that, not only does she need to be nice to every person she comes in contact with, but that she should stick up for those who are being bullied. I was excited to find a book series that is written with the intent of giving children a multicultural experience!
I was also excited to learn that they have a program for low-income families who have unable to buy books themselves. Alphabet Kids created their Buy One-Give One program. For all books purchased, they donate a book to a child in need!
Maggie is still a little young for these books, but I have read through them myself and I’m very impressed! I think they are a great addition to any library. You can read all about these excellent books and purchase them for your own children by going to their website at http://www.alphabetkids.com/. They also have a Facebook page, Click Here!!
Alphabet Kids has also offered to send one of my lucky fans their own set of all 6 Alphabet Kids books along with an AK reusable tote bag!
